What Is Kybella?
Kybella is a non-surgical injectable used to reduce moderate to severe under chin fat, commonly referred to as “double chin removal.” When injected by a trained technician, the surrounding cells are unaffected by the procedure. It is proven to be an effective way to reduce double chin.
Kybella (Double Chin)
As an alternative to surgery for double chin removal, Kybella is the only injectable treatment that is approved by the Federal Drug Administration. It provides chin fat removal using a synthetic deoxycholic acid, a substance that contains a naturally occurring molecule that helps destroy fat cells. Upon removal, these cells are no longer able to store or create fat, thereby rendering further treatment unnecessary once you have attained your aesthetic goals.
Double Chin Treatment
Your specialist at Skin Med Spa will craft a unique plan of treatment based on your profile goals and amount of chin fat currently present. Each appointment consists of a small chin injection, with visible results after two to four Kybella treatments for most patients. Your plan may necessitate up to six treatment sessions, with a minimum of one month between visits. Studies report that 59 percent of clients receive six treatments to remove the fat under their chin.
The only approved area for treatment with Kybella is under the chin. Other procedures are available at Skin Med Spa to improve the appearance of different body areas.
Why do I have a Double Chin
The accumulation of fat under the chin, also called submental fullness, is a common condition that can occur throughout a person’s life, slowly over time, or suddenly. It is generally caused by genetics, weight gain and aging, and happens to both men and women.
